Just in case you ever thought that the care packages are not important,
please read this story about John Grube.

John will be added to our list as soon as he gets his mailing address and sends it back to us.
Imagine yourself standing where he is in the picture above holding his 9-month old son.
Our care packages just might make him smile for a moment.
We have had other heroes do the same and even at a couple of mothers leave their children behind.

I don’t think I’d be strong enough to leave my baby and go overseas
it might be easier since she’s 23 years old now.

The next time you see someone wearing military clothes or a hat,
stop and ask them if they served in the military.
Then take a moment to shake their hand and thank them
for being a hero and keeping us free and safe.

I thank you for your service so that we may all be safe and free.
