Gina,
Hope you are doing well and your migraines are getting better/going away.
When I got back from R&R your
box was here.
It sat at my desk unopened for a few days when I was back before I started
craving some chocolate,
and I thought OH, I should open “Granny Good Nut’s”
package and see what kind of chocolate/candy
she sent !
Then I opened the box and it was jump ropes, pedometers, tuna, and soup!
LOL !
We decided you were trying to tell us something!
After all the chocolates you have sent in the past it was time to start
eating healthy and working out !
You now have a second name of “Granny Health Nut” LOL!
All kidding aside, we really do
appreciate the gifts and the electronic jump ropes are really cool !
The calling cards were a big hit with Chris one of our co-workers, his
wife currently lives in Thailand
and so to call her he has to use a phone card to keep in touch with her,
so he was happy to see those
in the box, they will go to good use, he said to make sure and tell
you thank you.
On a more interesting note.
We have local nationals that come into our office everyday and empty our
trash, vacuum,
and mop our floors.
Our regular cleaner was not in today, but a lady by the name of RoseMary
a very sweet cleaner
that was here my first tour.
She saw your box open in our office (displayed for anyone to take if they
see something they want or need)
and the finger nail clipper/manicure set was on top.
She saw this and said “AHHH”! And she asked if she could
have it, I said of course.
If I could only describe the appreciation on her face !
She said Thank You at least five times, gave me a big hug and kiss on
the check !
I hope you don’t mind I
gave it to her, I know you supply to the troops and us supporting the
troops.
But being in a 3rd world country it is amazing how a small manicure set
was one of the nicest gifts
she probably could have received.
So I just wanted to pass on the thank you from her to you.
Again, thank you very much for
your care packages.
It’s always exciting to see what is going be the surprise items
in the box when we get it!
Tricia
