Hi Gina,

Yes Mason has returned from Afghanistan.

He arrived at his home base in Fort Campbell, Kentucky last
Thursday evening around 10:00 pm.
Cindy and I went down to his home in Clarksville, TN this weekend
to see him.

He is very happy to back in the USA but he still is very busy with
the re-integration process.
This process requires his to report for duty every day for about a week and includes reporting on the weekends.

After that most of his men will be taking block leave, but he and
another captain are doing some special training, so he is not taking
any leave until sometime in late May.
He is hoping to be promoted to captain and begin training to become a company commander.

Anyway, he sends his thanks for packages that were sent during his deployment.
I think he said he received over 150 packages in the last 13 months.
As you might expect, he shared them with is men.
