Introduction |
| Elton Mile is a former student of
mine at GPC and, more importantly, he is a young combat Marine who served
both gallantly and faithfully with the 2nd Recon BN during some of their
toughtest campaigns in al Anbar, including the 2004 battle for Fallujah.
I have forwarded a draft of a letter (which has since been revised) that he is sending out to solicit support for a cross country motorcycle trip he is planning in order to raise money ($10,000.00) and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project. All I ask of you is to review the material contained in the links and to help support Elton in any way possible, to include a financial contribution if you are able. Other ways that you can provide support is to share this information with friends and family, share it with your affiliate organizations such as the VFW, American Legion, or AmVets post with which you are a member, and share it with VVA or military associations to which you belong. (Jeff, if possible, please include a link to this in the USS Knox Reunion Association, thanks) All of the funds go directly to the Wounded Warriors Project and not to Elton. If you are uncomfortable with making an online donation, as I am, there is a link to a downloadable donation form in Elton's materials. If you are a member of facebook and would like to see Elton's information there, I'd be happy to share that with you if you send me a message (not a wall posting) via facebook. Thank you. Jerry
